As 2024 comes to a close and 2025 is upon us, I just thought I'd do a quick reflection on how much writing related stuff I've done this year....
Words written: ~270,000
Books finished 2.5 (Aeolwyn's Conquest 1 & 2 + plus a litRPG book shelved for now)
Works submitted to agents and publishers: 2
Agents and publishers queried: 60 (results pending....)
Books self-published: 2 (1 under a pseudonym and Aeolwyn's Conquest)
Books re-edited and republished: 1 (A Saga of Olga the Heroic)
Episodes of audio drama written: 8 (hasn't been released yet, but I'll probably cross-post it here)
Episodes of said audio drama acted in: 8
Other voice acting works I've participated in: 1 (not sure if it'll ever see the light of day though)
Audio books narrated: 2
Number of cathedrals in England visited: A lot.
All in all it was a pretty busy year for me on the "typewriter", and I'm pretty happy about how much I got done. My writing schedule for next year looks to be even busier with more Aeolwyn's Conquest, and some other stuff that I haven't "announced" yet.
Voice acting might sound like a weird thing for me to dabble in, but it's a thing I like to do for fun. I did some voices on Might and Magic 9, and a lot of uncredited work on the Medal of Honor series when I was at EA. I also did a podcast thingy in the early 2000s before podcasting was even a thing. It used a lot of copyrighted audio that I doubt I could get license to, so that stuff will probably never see the light of day.
So Happy New Year, and have a safe and illustrious 2025!
